HUNTING THE SEA

The new Pirate Kit, from the Flik Flak Treasure for Boys series, promises all young pirates at heart lots of loot gained by honest means. Proud owners can trace the route to the treasure along the strap of the beautiful, themed watch, or on the parchment map that accompanies it. Keeping the pirates’ prized accessories safe is a special chest – here’s hoping that the owner manages to keep the location of this a secret.

On route for rewards

The strap design of the pirate watch reveals the recommended path for the pirate’s ship for it to navigate its way safely through jagged peninsulas and intriguing islands. Adding to the atmosphere are crossbones and helpful compass points. The coastal colours find their way on to the dial, which incorporates colour-coded hands to assist wearers in navigating their way around time telling. A red N’ for North and white numbers marking five-minute intervals stand out boldly against a black bezel. And reminding of the handwriting found on historical treasure hunting maps, the main numbers on the dial are in calligraphy style.

Keeping things close to the chest

The Flik Flak Pirate Kit takes the form of a treasure chest in an authentic wood-look finish. It has a skull lock and can be used to keep additional personal treasures too, such as coins, secret codes, or a special souvenir. A set of fun stickers enables trainee pirates to prepare the treasure map, making sure they do not anchor too close to the lively octopus and warning of low-flying cannon balls. Where will the treasure chest, overflowing with jewels be placed ? That of course is classified information, carefully stored in the Flik Flak treasure chest.

The Flik Flak watches are all Swiss made, featuring a robust aluminium case and scratch-resistant mineral glass. Their power comes from Swiss quartz movements and they are shock-resistant and machine washable at a temperature of up to 40º C.
